There is a devious plot brewing in Parksville! It appears that a murderer is on the loose and will stop at nothing to gain possession of the famous "Pink Lace Diamond". The Rotary Club of Parksville AM has devised a plan to unmask the diabolical perpetrator but they are asking for help from the concerned citizens of Oceanside to help solve the foul deed and return the jewel to its rightful owner. The Pink Lace Diamond Mystery will take place at Parksville's stylish Beach Club resort on January 28, 2012. Amateur sleuths are urgently needed to join the bumbling gumshoe, Detective I.B. Clueless in sifting through the evidence and bringing the killer to justice. While enjoying their dinner, attendees will find themselves immersed in clues and a few red herrings as they participate in a fun-filled evening of theatre and camaraderie with like-minded "would be detectives". The Pink Lace Diamond Mystery takes place in the 1940s so attendees will be encouraged to don their fedoras and harken back to the days of the hard-boiled detective genre. The Pink Lace Diamond Murder Mystery is a fundraiser sponsored by the Rotary Club of Parksville AM. All funds raised will stay in Parksville and a portion will be directed toward programs designed to support youth at risk and other worthwhile local Rotary projects. Tickets are priced at $75 per person ($70 if purchased before Christmas or for tables of 8). It is expected that this inaugural event will sell out quickly so murder mystery aficionados are urged to get their tickets quickly to avoid disappointment.
